Your next chapter.
A fresh start.
Community-funded tattoo removal treatments for people ready to move forward. Compassionate care. No judgment. A choice that belongs to you.
We’re gathering interest and securing sponsors. Treatment invitations will begin as funding becomes available.
More opportunity.
One fresh start
at a time.
The Fresh Start Second Chance Program helps people move forward through free, sponsor-funded tattoo removal treatments in San Antonio.
We serve individuals facing financial hardship whose tattoos create barriers to employment, represent gang involvement or hate, or are connected to abuse or trafficking.
Through community partnerships and compassionate, judgment-free care, we support each person’s choice to reclaim their story and pursue new opportunities.
Seeking removal is a personal decision. You deserve respect at every step.
Support with purpose.
This program is intended for people who cannot reasonably afford treatment and are seeking removal in one of the following circumstances.
Employment barriers
Visible tattoos, including on the face, neck, or hands, that create a barrier to employment or career opportunities.
Leaving symbols behind
Gang-related tattoos or hate symbols that no longer reflect the life a person chooses to lead.
Moving forward after harm
Tattoos connected to abuse, exploitation, or trafficking that a person wants removed on their own terms.
Eligibility, treatment suitability, and available funding are reviewed individually. Expressing interest does not guarantee acceptance or treatment.
A clear path
to getting started.
We’ll explain what support is available before you decide whether to proceed.
Express your interest
Contact us to ask about the interest list. Start with your name and a safe way to reach you. You don’t need to share a detailed personal history.
Review the next steps
As funding becomes available, we’ll review program eligibility and discuss a consultation to assess the tattoo and treatment suitability.
Understand your support
If approved, we’ll explain which tattoo and how many sessions the sponsorship covers before treatment begins.
Begin your treatment plan
Approved, sponsored sessions are provided at no charge to you. Future sessions depend on your treatment plan and available funding.

Help make
a fresh start possible.
Your sponsorship pays Fresh Start to provide approved treatments at no cost to participants.
- Fund a set number of treatment sessions.
- Discuss a recurring sponsorship.
- Connect eligible participants with the program.
We welcome conversations with businesses, churches, and community organizations. We’ll agree on treatment scope, pricing, reporting, and any public recognition before your commitment.
Sponsorships pay for services provided by Fresh Start Tattoo Removal. We do not represent direct sponsorship payments as tax-deductible charitable donations.
Your questions, answered.
Is treatment really free for participants?
Yes. Approved sessions covered by a sponsorship are provided at no charge to the participant. We’ll explain the exact coverage before treatment. Unfunded sessions are not automatically included.
Can I book a free treatment right now?
We’re currently gathering interest and securing sponsors. Contacting us starts a conversation about the interest list; it does not book treatment. Invitations will depend on funding, eligibility, and treatment suitability.
Will the program cover complete removal?
Coverage depends on the funding approved for your treatment plan. A sponsorship may cover a limited number of sessions rather than an entire course. Results and session needs vary, and complete removal is not guaranteed. We’ll explain your funded sessions and discuss options if more are needed.
Do I have to share my story or appear on social media?
No. Public photos, testimonials, and personal stories are not a condition of receiving support. Any request to use your image or story publicly would require separate, voluntary permission.
What if I’m unsure whether I qualify?
You’re welcome to contact us and ask. You don’t need to describe traumatic experiences in your first message. We can discuss the program’s scope and what information is needed directly.
Can an organization refer someone?
Yes. Ask the person’s permission first and encourage them to contact us, or call to discuss a referral process. Please don’t send someone else’s sensitive personal information or photos without their permission. Referrals do not guarantee acceptance.
How will sponsors know their support is being used?
Before accepting sponsorship funds, we’ll agree on the covered services, reporting, and handling of unused funds. Reporting can include treatment counts without identifying participants. Sponsor recognition can also be discussed.
